Daycare description / philosophy
I am a stay at home Mom of 2 great girls who will provide a loving, nurturing, stimulating home for your kids. I have opened a day home because I want to be home with my daughters and I really enjoy the energy and the daily reminder to stop and look at the world through their eyes.
Our days consist of arts/crafts, rythym and music, story time, Circle Time (where we learn about what day/date/month it is), What's Cool (where we learn about someting new and neat like dinosaurs, worms or the holes in our noses... :-)), free and structured play. Weather permitting, we get outside daily so outdoor clothing and footwear is required. I have a large open green space behind my house and a great park very near by with other parks within a short walking distance.
I provide 2 snacks and lunch with a focus on nutritional foods, though we do have the occasional treat. I try to instill the knowledge that "healthy" is also yummy and moderation is key. I believe that kids thrive when they have boundaries and I try to be fair while giving them that structure. I use Time in and Time out techniques for discipline and this has worked consistently for me.
My home is smoke free, pet free but NOT nut free and I do not provide transportation; however, the school bus stops very near my home.
I hold a current certificate in Standard Childcare First Aid with Health Care Provider CPR/AED and have references available upon request.Daycare Features
