Daycare description / philosophy

Shine Day Home is an accredited/licensed day home, registered with Community Links in Airdrie. I have Level 1 Childcare certification as well as “Exploring Early Childhood Curriculum: Play, Possibilities and Participation” Certificate from MacEwan University. Shine day home provider has been operating a fun-filled day home since 2010. Shine day home is a place where your children will feel loved and cared for – a home away from home. Children sing nursery rhymes, learn ABCs, read books, colour, paint, play with sand and play-dough, work on puzzles, dress- up, dance and sing, go to local parks, as well as play in the back yard daily, weather permitting. We find ways to make sure the kids get outdoor play and are kept busy in a safe environment. We visit the Library and Community Links Messy Play on a regular basis. All activities are fun and have a learning objective. Teachers do not bring their children when off work in July and August and do not pay for these months. Shine day home provider has a current Police/Vulnerable sector check and Advanced First Aid with CPR.
