Daycare description / philosophy

I bought a house and moved to Didsbury in July 2019.
(Note that the one photo is me and the other photo is of my dayhome when I was in Calgary from the agency I used there, at this time I wouldn't be going with an agency as I'm only offering drop in and part time care. I may look in to it more in the future if I go full time. I posted it because I feel represented me well and gave me a good reference in the write up)

I am looking to see what the need for childcare is here in Didsbury. So I am opening my home to offer drop in childcare for day, evening or weekend, respite, care for sick children, short term full time care, $10/hour or $50/day (max 10hours, then goes to hourly rate after that). There is the possibility that I would open for full time care and my hours will go with what I find is the most needed.

Overnight care available from 6pm until 9am on Friday and Saturday nights for $60/night/child, with $10/hr for hours outiside of that time.

I enjoy taking the children on fieldtrips to enrich their days and for added experiences and learning. We will go to things such as playgroups, parks, library, and whatever else I find that is fun to do here for children. There will be lots of crafts, games, songs, dancing, dressup, free play, limited tv time (only for those who do not nap can watch a show for up to 30mins) and sooo much more! I will have themes but they can be adjusted to fit each child's current interests, since children need to be interested while they are learning. I provide healthy meals and snacks. I provide care on the main floor for your child to play and have natural light as well! I have a smoke free and pet free home. My home is located in a cul-de-sac that is just behind the Didsbury High School. There is the running track that my house looks on to.
A bit about me: I have been in the childcare field for many years and love teaching children and providing many fun and educational activities for them throughout the day. English is my first and only language although I am currently working on improving my limited French knowledge and am sharing that with the children as well. I was born in Vernon, BC and have lived in many towns around BC and some in AB. I have worked in many areas of childcare; in preschools, daycares, Disney cruise line, and respite and skills worker for children with special needs, ran a dayhome before and was a dayhome consultant. I went to college to obtain my Early Childhood Education Supervisor certification (Level 3) and I also have many workshops and conferences that I have attended. I have my food safe certification, first aid and criminal record check and welfare check.
