Daycare description / philosophy

My dayhome is located in the Tower Hill neighborhood of Okotoks. I opened my dayhome in 2009 shortly after the birth of my second child, in order to stay home with my children. I have enjoyed, and continue enjoying having kids in my home, and being able to provide them with a loving, fun home, where they genuinely love to come during the day.

My dayhome is primarily run out of the main level of my home. In addition I have a playroom in the basement with climbers, and a backyard with a playset and sandbox. My home is pet and smoke free. I provide morning snack, lunch and afternoon snack.

In the summer I like to get out as often as I can to our local parks, the Sheep River parkway and to the Water Park. I also enjoy going on outings to the Calgary Zoo, Spruce Meadows and other local attractions. In addition, I provide bikes (and helmets) for the kids to use at the park that is close to my home.

In the Winter, I try to get out as much as possible on the nice days. I like to take the kids sledding (I provide sleds), and on occasion we will venture out to Playtopia, and sometimes the Zoo.

I provide transportation to the Okotoks Preschool Academy on Monday, Wednesday and Friday afternoons.

In addition I provide transportation to the Good Shephard Elementary School daily.
