Daycare description / philosophy

PIXIE HOLLOW, is a private day home, in Lakewood area, in Spruce Grove. There is one spots for full time care starting October 1, 2017. My program is for infants to school age, caring for your children in a preschool setting.

I am an Early Childhood Educator.I have worked for Annapolis Valley Regional School Division, Edmonton Public School Division, Parkland School Division, and taught at Two by Two Me and You, for the Daybreak preschool program.

I am excited to be offering families, child care in a place where their children can come and be loved and encouraged to grow and develop in a happy, loving environment, while still receiving structure and routine.

Your child will take part in a variety of activities some of which I have listed: walks to playground, a music program, free centers, puzzles, dress up, fort building, building with different types of blocks, imaginary play, independent play, picnics, Science in the form of baking and experiments, arts and crafts, sensory activities, and a well stocked reading center. I have a large back yard and we will spend time playing outside as well.

At Pixie Hollow, your child's individuality and uniqueness is greatly encouraged! All children are special and have qualities that I will look for and encourage them to shine in. If your child is more on the quiet and shy side, that’s okay. Not everyone is out going.

My home is pet friendly, although our animals will not have interaction with children. The cat will hide and the dog will stay away although, she is very good with children.
