Daycare description / philosophy

Hello! My name is Kim McGorman. I am a licensed Early Childhood Educator with over 10 years of experience working with children of all ages. Myself, my husband, and our 2 children built our home on Morland Road in Cedar (South Nanaimo) a few years ago and absolutely love living here! The preschool space is bright and set up to encourage creativity, exploration, fun, and learning through play. Emphasis placed on kindness, community, developing independence, social, emotional, and communication skills. Activities and toys support the development of fundamental skills such as literacy, problem solving, motor skills, active listening and many more. Outside we have a natural playground with large sandbox, grass area, river, rock and logs to encourage movement, balance and creativity. We live very close to Woodbank school, and Hemer Park which I like to explore with the preschool. Many more details available upon request! COVID safety policies and procedures are in place to ensure a clean safe environment. We are excited to welcome some new faces to our group!
