Daycare Openings, Description and Features

Daycare description / philosophy

After years of working in a group daycare setting I have realized my dream of having my own daycare in my home. We specifically built our home to have the daycare downstairs in a great sunny spot with easy access to the outdoors. We use the second floor of my home for cooking days in the kitchen and quiet time in the living room. For those that nap there is a seperate quiet room for that purpose. I have tried to bring together the best aspects of a home daycare and group centre and combined them. We get out on field trips, walks to parks, playgroup and Strong Start. I have a structured schedule with set times for learning, art and play, with special days set aside for baking, science etc. We have a theme every month and each week the children learn a new letter. There is circle time each day whether it be with me or at playgroup and my goal is to have your child feel confident and prepared when it comes time to transition into Kindergarten. At the same time they get to enjoy hanging out in my home with my 3 children Tucker, Hunter and Emma who love to help out as does our little dog Maggie and of course we can't forget Rosie the bird! I love to help children learn in their own way and it's a joy to see them succeed and grow to be their own unique individual.
