Title: Full Day Kindergarten Update
Post by: Laura on April 12, 2010, 11:23:17 AM
Other programs may have to be cut, fear school boards

With just over four months to go before implementing the biggest change in Ontario schools in a generation, boards still donít know how they will pay for full-day kindergarten and fear that they might have to sacrifice other programs.

The program will be phased in across the province over the next six years. Ontario currently spends about $700 million a year on half-day kindergarten, which has more than 240,000 students enrolled.
