High-risk pedophile back on the streets
« on: February 22, 2008, 04:45:18 PM »
A notorious pedophile with a history of preying on street kids has been released from prison after serving two-and-a-half years for making and distributing child pornography.

Spencer has also done volunteer work in the past to get close to kids, they say.

Here in town we have a known pedophile, who got out of jail and refused treatment while in jail.  The judge said he had to be a certain distance from children, parks, schools, daycares, etc. BUT he is living directly across the street from the private Catholic school.  He can watch children at play from his front window!  The police say they really can't do anything and I even questioned them about do they check where the family daycares are (they don't).  They say that they really can't do anything about the distance thing because everywhere you go there is children.  My mom saw him come out of 7-11 and he was living across the street from there just a few blocks from them and she was mad!

I really don't think much thought goes into where these half-way houses are located and where these pedophiles are permitted to go.  Most pedophiles tend to reoffend, so what are the police and courts waiting for another Bernardo/Homolka case??
