Want to open dayhome in Calgary
« on: September 16, 2009, 07:29:34 PM »
Hi. I had a dayhome that I closed a couple years ago so I could take a break and work outside the home. But now I'm raising my (15month old) grandson and would like to reopen. My problem is.. I moved into a small apartment and gave away everything! The place I'm in is not suitable for daycare, so I need to move. Another is that, because I quit my job to take on my newborn grandson, my finances are in bad shape. I'm wondering if there are any grants, or any organizations that would help a person get set up for a dayhome. I have seen some in my research for daycares, but none for a dayhome. I even checked with some daycare associations, but have had no success. With the lack of quality childcare in Calgary, I'm confident, with my references, that I would have no trouble finding families to fill the spots. Especially since I am willing to take in special needs children and under 19 months.
