Sterilizing Day Care Surfaces Etc
« on: November 25, 2009, 04:35:44 PM »
I use Kirklands Household Suface Wipes to clean all the surfaces that are used by the day care children, plus every weekend I put all the washables in the laundry tub with water and bleach ,that includes toys that can be washed. What do other centres use to clean up with?

i keep a sink full of dish soap and hot water along with some bleech (3x day freshened up) for toys that are mouthed or used by runny nosed kids :D
I use bleach on the floors, and on surfaces used for food. I used the mr clean sanitizing wipes for the door nobs and light switches, phones and computer key boards..only one wipe per project (or it just spreads things) I use Lysol spray afterward when little people are not around to breathe it in. I also run plastic big toys through my dishwasher. On occassionally use Dual-Quat..a industrial discinfectant used in many big daycares.

For years I have cleaned door knobs, banisters, switch plates etc. etc!
...well before H1N1,
But it's NEVER too late to start!
...as many daycares do NONE of what is listed above!

Glad to see I am not the only one who pays attention to general daycare/toy &
surface hygeine!
