Daycare description / philosophy

I am a certified AMI Montessori teacher with over 20 years of experience as a CASA Montessori directress. I've set up a home based Montessori daycare which follows the Montessori philosophy and consists of specialized Montessori educational materials that build a rich and stimulating environment for children to learn.

My mission is to provide a challenging educational environment which will foster each child to grow to his/her fullest potential academically, emotionally, physically and socially at each stage of development.

In a montessori prepared environment your child learn through special materials and activities, such as
1-PRACTICAL LIFE: Enhances the development of hand -eye coordination, gross motor control and cognitive order through care of self and care of environment development of social relations and coordination of physical movement
2- LANGUAGE : Includes oral language development, written expression,reading the study of grammar basic skills in writing & reading are developed through montessori materials and various presentations allowing children to link sounds & letter symbols effortlessly
3-MATHEMETICS: Make use of manipulatives materials to enable the child to internalize concepts of number,symbols,sequence,operations and memorization of basic facts
4-SENSORIAL: Materials are specially designed for children to learn shapes and size, comparing and sequencing colors.The sensorial area enable the child to order, classify,and describe sensory impressions in relation to length, width, temperature, mass, colour, pitch.etc
5-CULTURAL ACTIVITIES: Exposes the child to basics in geography, history, life sciences,and earth sciences.

In addition to montessori activities, children also engage in arts and crafts, learn about nature through various outdoor activities, and participate in healthy physical activity daily.

Every child is unique and montessori activities are based on your child's age,need & interest.
The facility is footsteps to parks and playgrounds. Smoke free, pet free and peanut free enviornment. Fresh healthy nutritious meals and snacks are also provided to hildren daily.( Halal, Kosher and Vegetarian meals also available)

The program runs all year round, Monday to Friday and operates from 7:00 AM - 6:30 PM.
I'm currently accepting children from 1.5 - to 6 years of age.
CERTIFICATION:
AMI DIPLOMA (Association Montessori Internationale)
CPR/First Aid certified
Graduate in Philosophy ,Tribes Certified in Collaborative Learning
Fluent in English and basic French
Health and Police check cleared

My Fee for full day is between $35
My Fee for Before/After school care: $18.00 per day, including snacks.
Before & After school care provided for Da Vinci public school and St. Josephine Bakhita C.S. children. After completing homework, after school children participate in various activities that builds self-esteem, self-reliance and confidence.
Drop Ins are also welcome
I do provide care during P.A. Days, March Break and Summer Vacation, and occasionaly Christmas vacation as well
