Daycare description / philosophy

Our goal at our centre is make families feel like we are an extension to their family. When dropping off your little one we want you to feel comfortable and secure that all of your child's needs are meet with the care and attention they deserve. By providing our service in a home we feel like we have met this goal and are excited to share quality care with your family. We strive to make sure parent and family involvement is maintained by offering an open door policy. We hold family events regularly and encourage your whole family to attend. We feel that having parents involved will show children they are in a safe place and will gain a sense of security. Its also nice to see what your little ones have been working on and put faces to the friends they always talk about. There's something special about watching your little one interacting with their buddies.

Staying with lower ratio's give us the opportunity as teachers to spend more one on one time with each child. Having more attention gives children a better opportunity to grow and get more out of our programming. As teachers we feel that having too many children in a room disrupts some of the learning process that is lost in big industrialized daycares. We take pride in what we do and want your child to benefit from their whole experience with us starting at infant and continuing with school age

Starting in infant we work on all the new and exciting skills that your little one is experiencing from walking and talking to learning how to eat and play. Than in toddler they will learn coordination skills, friendship skills, language, colors and they will start working on some more structured activities like circle time. We will continue to promote potty training and self help skills getting them ready to move up to Preschool. In our preschool classroom children are provided many opportunities to grow and learn and prepare for school. Children learn group work and problem solving skills needed to grow into strong individuals. We will practice to become independent when it comes to self dressing and bathroom time. Children will also learn math and science skills through exploring and learning through play. School age children will be involved with hands on learning with science and math and will be given opportunities to build friendships that last. They participate in teamwork and also help around the daycare doing tasks that will encourage responsibility.

Community involvement is a very huge part of growing into diverse and well rounded individuals. Children will be encouraged to help out local charities as a group and will learn pride and accomplishment when making others happy.
