Daycare description / philosophy

I am a certified ECE with 2 children of my own. I have 10 years experience working in numerous settings with children of all ages. I graduated from Georgian College with honors and was the student rep on the ECE advisory committee.
I am first aid trained and have CPR level C certificate. I also have a police record check and fire safety inspection.

I have been running my home childcare for 5 years and it has been one of the greatest decisions of my life!

I plan daily activities that are both age and developmentally appropriate based on the expressed interests of the children.

We are a very energetic group with a large fenced in backyard. We spend at least 2 hours a day outside, weather permitting. In the summer I bring our curriculum outside where we spend much of our time exploring, discovering, inquiring and learning.

I believe nutrition, especially in the early years, to be very important. I offer a morning snack, lunch, and an afternoon snack. Most meals are homemade using fresh ingredients and focusing on holistic nutrition (healthy food as close to its natural state as possible, unrefined, unprocessed).
