Daycare description / philosophy

I am fairly new to Guelph, I grew up in Georgetown Ontario. I worked at a Hospital and Medical Office for the last 7 years after graduating from Sheridan College. I also went to school for Social Work in 2007. I am 29 years old and I have two children of my own, one four year old daughter and one 1 year old. I love children. I feel overwhelmed with joy when I can teach a child to do something new. I feel that growth and a child’s independence is very important as well as there health and safety. I have a very outgoing personality and get along with almost everyone I meet.

In my home care I have safety gates, plugs and all necessary safety actions available. I have plenty of toys suitable for all ages and genders from baby to 5 years old. I have a seperate room for sleeping from playpens, to cribs and a toddler bed. I have a very spacious living room and finished basement for the kids to play, this is also where I keep all the toys. I have a daily schedule which you would receive weekly on foods, crafts and playtime activities. I also would keep a log for you and how your child is doing through-out the day ( eg. diaper changes, food and naps). In the summer, spring and fall we will try and go to the park, and play outside, and in the winter we will build snowman in our backyard.

I hope to build a strong relationship with you and your child and be able to teach them and keep them safe.
