Daycare description / philosophy

Little and Precious Home Daycare A place for hugs and cuddles, exploration and wonder, crafts and learning. Hello, I am opening a new home daycare in the North-West end of Guelph (Near the West-End Rec Center). I have Full-time, Full-day, and Part-time / half-day spaces available. With a possibility for after-school as well, if schedules permit. Presently, I am in the process of becoming a licensed home daycare with Wellington County. I will start the daycare before this process completes, but should be onboarded in short order. The daycare drop-off is between 8am – 9am. Daycare Day Includes: Daily curriculum of learning the calendar, numbers, letters, and other essential knowledge for toddlers/pre-schoolers. free play, focused on developing social skills like sharing, taking-turns, caring for each other, and appropriate social behaviours. 1-2 outdoor adventures a day, as weather allows. Music time, nursery rhymes, simple games, theatre play and all the fun our imaginations can wonder up. Theme weeks based on areas of special interest and holidays. I offer 3 meal-times a day (2 snacks, and 1 lunch), all will be focused on a combination of vegetables, grains/proteins, healthy fats, and fruits. All activities provide a focus on the appropriate amount of independence for age, and physical skill sets; they will learn how to put on their shoes, outside gear, and other essential skills they need to develop before they transition to school. Pick-up time is to be determined. Police background checks will be available for all adults in the home, CRP training is completed.
