Daycare Openings, Description and Features

Daycare description / philosophy

Hi parents/guardians my name is Michelle, but you can call me Chelle as all the kids do. I am a mother of three wonderful children, two which attend school full time and one an infant. I have been running a home daycare for three years now and currently have two spaces available for children ages 12 months to 5 years full or part-time. Besides my own children, I currently care for a two and a half year old as well as a ten year old. I provide 2 snacks and a lunch all home made(no processed food) that follow Canada's food guide. The children are also provided with an individual communication log that is written in daily so parents know how their child's day was, what they ate if they slept/rested etc. We do weekly outings to the local library, park and early years centre. We also do monthly field trips to places like the childrens museum and Dundurn Castle. The back yard is fully fenced for out door play and there is a large seperate play room for the children in my home. We operate on a semi structured basis for activities like arts and crafts, reading/circle time and free play time for the children to learn and explore on their own. Snack time, lunch, rest time and all outings are on a regular schedule.

I have up to date CPR and First Aid training, police clearance as well as a clean drivers abstract and my home is also smoke and pet free.
