Daycare description / philosophy

I am a mom of two girls who decided years ago to stay at home and open it up as a daycare that promises to provide a safe, engaging, stimulating environment while keeping our group small and allowing for a true home away from home feeling. I offer a safe and inclusive environment allowing your child to grow and develop in their own way. The style around here is play based learning, with a strong focus on active outdoor play, sensory themed activities, process art, and age appropriate games and activities. When we are indoors my program offers plenty of circle time songs and music, books, and free play with rotated and themed toys. I have a large, fully fenced in yard that is well shaded for lots of supervised outdoor time. We are also a short walk to many local parks, splash pads, library, early on center, and limeridge mall. We also take HSR Bus trips to other libraries or play spaces when age appropriate. We spend a large portion of our day outside, and we will be outside ALL year round. I provide Healthy Snacks and Homemade Balanced Lunches daily. Children will be encouraged to help explore the kitchen with age-appropriate baking tasks. I am First Aid/CPR Level C certified, and both my husband and I have a police check available. We are a smoke free, dog (yellow lab), and cat friendly home.
