Daycare description / philosophy

Hello! My name is Heather. I am a well-educated, nurturing, creative, enthusiastic individual. I am a Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) with many years experience caring for and educating children. I have a Bachelor of Arts degree from Brock University in addition to an Early Childhood Education diploma from Mohawk College. I am first aid and CPR trained. I have an up-to-date criminal reference check as well as immunization record. I am registered with the College of Early Childhood Educators and I am Early Childhood Environmental Rating Scale (ECERS) certified. Perhaps most importantly, I have a genuine love of children and passion for educating.

I have recently purchased a home and turned the entire lower level into a dedicated preschool. It is a single family detached home located in a safe and quiet area. The basement contains a preschool classroom, a kitchen solely for preparing the children's snacks and meals, a bathroom, an office, and a back entrance way that leads to a large outdoor play area. The environment is designed to be warm and welcoming and full of opportunities for learning and fun!

I am offering care/education for children between the ages of 2 and 5, Monday to Friday, 7:30am to 5:30pm. Preschool is an excellent way to expose children to a classroom setting, daily routine, socialization with others, unique learning opportunities, etc. and help them to be better prepared for the full day kindergarten program.
