Daycare description / philosophy

Hello everyone, My name is Oanh Nguyen. I am a Registered Early Childhood Educator. I have been working in childcare centre settings for almost five years but having my own daycare has always been my goal. Starting in January 2022, I will be opening up my daycare program for toddlers and preschoolers from 18 months to 4 years old. A bit about myself: I am registered with the College of ECE. I have valid First-Aid and CPRC, am fully vaccinated. I have always updated myself with professional development workshops. My professional portfolio is available upon interview. What you can expect from me: I plan program curriculum based on "How does learning happen?", "Early Learning for Every Child Today" (ELECT) and the interests of your child. You will get daily updates on your child about meals, activities and their learning progress through HiMama App. I love partnering with you to create learning journals about your child when they have fun here. Healthy meals and snacks, which follows Canada Food Guide, will be provided. My parent handbooks are available when you decide to enroll your child. I am located in the Hyde Park area, only a few minutes walk from Emily Carr Public School and Saint Marguerite D'Youville Catholic Elementary School. My program opens from 8 am to 5 pm, Monday to Friday. Please contact me to chat about what I can offer at the program as well as the rates!
