Daycare description / philosophy

Welcome to Little Wonders!

About Me:
My name is Rima and I'm the owner of Little Wonders Private Home Daycare in Lambeth. I'm a mother to three children ages, 4, 8 and 9 who all now attend school. I'm opening a home daycare and have Full-Time and Part-Time spaces available starting January 2019. Prior to opening my home daycare, I worked at LHSC as a Clerk. I have decided that I would like to own my own business and work from home as I've always loved raising, caring and educating children. I have a current first aid & CPR, and a clear police check.

I provide a nurturing, loving, consistent, home-like environment in which to foster children's gradual, healthy growth and learning. Our home is centered on family, respect, comfort along with lots of love.

About My Activities:
I believe in a loving, structured environment with a mixture of free play and planned activities to encourage concentration, fine motor, and sensory development.

Sensory play includes stimulating your child's senses of sight, sound, smell, touch, taste, balance and movement as your child has the freedom to explore and manipulate the materials provided.
My curriculum focuses on language development, cognitive growth, fine/gross motor skills, problem solving, reasoning and social interaction.


All meals are homemade with lots of love. Snacks (granola bars, muffins, crackers, etc.) along with nutritious lunches free of store bought/processed ingredients & additives. I believe in a clean diet full of whole grains, fresh fruits and vegetables. Organic ingredients are used where possible.

*Children who are going to school will be dropped off at bus stop if they live on the same street.

9:00 Music time
9:15 Letter and word games
9:30 Craft time
10:00 Snack time
10:15 Outside play
11:15 Messy play (ie. play dough, baking, gluing)
11:45 Lunch
12:15 *Free play
12:45 Story time
1:00 pm Nap time
3:00 Snack time
3:15 Craft time
3:45 *Free play
4:30 Clean up time
4:30-5:00pm -Get ready for pick-up

*Free play includes your child's choice of activity centers and toys provided at that time.

About My Hours:
My hours of operation are Monday to Friday, 7:30am to 5:00pm

About My Home:
Large outdoor backyard with sandbox and spring free trampoline We have a close park available (walking distance). Indoors I have a child safe playroom, along with several other rooms used for play and nap areas.
