Daycare description / philosophy
Ivy League Montessori School's curriculum emphasizes a balanced approach to the academic, social, emotional and physical development of a child. It is structured to build a child's skills and habits while including space and opportunities for children to explore areas of knowledge that are of interest to them.
The Montessori materials are designed to invite children's inquiry and develop their understanding of the essential skills and concepts necessary to become successful. Children are taught to become leaders and not followers.
The child's progress is monitored and charted on a weekly basis followed by an annual report card beginning when the child is 2 1/2 right through to graduation.
Care for the environment is a mandatory requirement on a daily basis and they are taught right from the Toddler class the importance of reusing, recycling and composting.
Field trips are arranged to coincide with the curriculum and combined with other activities through out the year, it certainly is a fun place to enroll your child (ren).Daycare Features
