Daycare description / philosophy

I am a child care provider with home daycare facility and have gained valuable experience as I have worked with special needs children for 4 years.

I am a dependable, hardworking and honest person who enjoys working with children. My experience as a mother of four children ages 17 to 9 years is invaluable I have worked in the childcare field for 6 years two of those years operating my own home daycare. I am a strong believer that each child is a special individual and I exercise this belief every day by fostering a respectful and trusting relationship with my children and the children to whom I provide child care. Currently I am taking online computer courses and participates in workshops such as "Support Strategies for difficult situations" and "Introduction to Autism Spectrum" supported by Kerry's Place Autism Services which is designed to help respite workers and child care providers increased understanding of Autism Spectrum Disorders including Autism, Asperger's Syndrome and PDD-NOS. I am confident that my experience will be an asset to the families and children I work with. I am currently offering respite care/before and after school program and other daycare needs.
