Daycare description / philosophy

Hello childcare seekers! I am Jenni, I am a Family Photographer and I love working with children. Not only do they keep us in shape, they are so entertaining and creative. Last November I decided to open a feel-at home style daycare in my home, inviting a couple new friends to come join my daughter and I. We love everything artsy, singing, dancing and a lot of outdoor adventures.

I am Close to Mary Honeywell Elementary, Ottawa Christian School and Saint Elizabeth Anne Seton School, in Barrhaven. (Kennevale Dr/Strandherd Rd).

All Meals consist of a wide variety of healthy foods from the Canada's Food Guide. I'm extremely creative with getting toddlers to eat healthy food, I developed this by raising my picky eating 3 year old. I believe the roots of a life-long learner starts with great eating, great sleeping and lots of fresh air (physical activity outdoors).

I have a well equipped playroom for infants and toddlers, a fenced backyard with a lot to play with, 2 really close parks with winter and summer activities and many close walking paths to explore the wildlife (well mostly birds).

I try to schedule at least one monthly developmental Field Trip (I'm part of the Child Care Providers Resource Network which hosts many educational activities) and sometimes I like to have Special Visitors come to my daycare (I.e. A Magician, A Puppeteer, Russell Levia - Fantastic Musician). I provide a total of 3 meals in a day (# of meals completely depends on your drop off/pick up) and 2 snacks. I have a safe secure quiet area for the nappers and I plan quiet activities for the children that don't nap!

I am flexible with Part Time Care, Full Time Care and Before and After School Care.
