Daycare description / philosophy

Hi, I am an Early Childhood Educator and I run a legal Independent Home Day Care. I have been an independent caregiver for 18 years and can provide excellent references. I run an active and exciting daycare program with a nice balance of indoor and outdoor activities. I have a large, fenced in backyard with plenty of toys and equipment to keep us busy on days we stay at home. But we are mostly on the go during the summer, visiting farms, zoos, splash parks and museums. In the winter we visit learning centres, such as The Severn Literacy Program and other playgroups in this area. We sing a lot of songs, make a lot of art, read a lot of books and play, play, play. I am very involved in the day care community and run a playgroup on Thursday mornings with 2 other caregivers. I am involved with the Child Care Providers Resourse Network and sit on the committe for the Barrhaven Child Care Centre. I have my child cpr and first aid. I have a pet free and smoke free environment. I have a great sense of humour and love that the children enjoy that!
