Daycare description / philosophy

Hello, I am a Registered Early Childhood Educator with over 35 years of experience offering high quality preschool/child care in my home. With only six children in Care individual children receive one on one attention, individual learning plans, and ongoing communication between me and parents. I offer a loving and caring atmosphere as well as a preschool learning environment that prepares your child for school and life through play and discovery. Children will gain advanced social, language, physical, problem solving, memory, self discipline and self help skills as well as confidence, empathy, manners and an interest in learning. Our program is playbased and includes child and adult directed learning. Our circle times include fun lessons, games, songs, movement, story time and more. We have play spaces for craft time, cognitive learning, social play, reading, dramatic/dress-up play, science and discovery, sensory, and gross motor activities, We have a small dog that loves childen and a fish tank in the playroom. Our back yard if fully fenced in and has many play structures including 3 sizes of climbers with slides, a play house, a trampoline, swing set, patio area with riding toys, a toy box full of toys, sand box, water table, Tonka trucks and much more. There is a sitting area under an apple tree, a chair swing to relax on and a vegetable garden to tend. I have my first aid and CPR training, vulnerable sector check, I do continuous learning at a supervisor level and also work as a licensed daycare home visitor, helping other home day care providers get started and maintain a quality program that meets with the ministries standards and the laws of the Child Care and Early years act. Backup care is available. I offer a smoke and cannabis free environment, flexible hours, affordable prices, subsidy and CWELCC spaces, healthy meals and snacks, references and receipts.
