Daycare description / philosophy

Our days are flexible and learning is geared to the developmental level and interests of each child. Books and reading play an important part in our day and are used as a stepping stone to the daily theme. The feltboard is used extensively in our lessons and the children enjoy the many learning resources I have created for them. This way I can tailor the learning to meet the goals set for each child.

Fenced yard with playhouse, climber, sandbox and swing. We enjoy a main floor playroom so that our play and learning begins as soon as the first child arrives and doesn't end till the last child goes home. Although we spend part of the day in our basement playroom which is an area set up to meet the varied interest and ability levels of the children, our main floor play space means there are activities for all ages to enjoy no matter where we are in the house. We nap on the main floor or upper floor bedrooms. Kitchen offers a comfortable child sized table for our meals, snacks, and activities. We have no pets.

I am a member of the Childcare Providers Resource Network and a workshop facilitator with them. Raised 4 children of my own including a child with special needs. I am a trained elementary school teacher and have taken ECE courses. I have been a home daycare provider for 24 years.

My space can be available as early as July but will hold for a family needing care later in the summer.

Located in Fallingbrook near St. Peter's High School. Easily accessed from Charlemagne/Merkley. Hours are 6:45 - 5:00.
