Daycare description / philosophy

The Learning Beehive is where your little honey Bee can safely buzz around our beehive having fun and learning while they grow.

At our Beehive we have two Beekeepers; Mrs. Laurie and Ms. Megan. Mrs. Laurie is a Registered Early Childhood Educator with over 25+ years of experience in childcare and a proud Mom of three honey Bees. One beeing Ms. Megan who is a natural with the honey Bees and also has experience in childcare. Both Beekeepers have their C.P.R. & First Aid training and Mrs. Laurie has her Food Handlers Certifiicate.
We will be providing morning & afternoon snacks and a lunch at the Beehive with kid friendly food along with lots of fruit & vegetables along with water & milk. We will have circle time, singing songs, reading stories, learning our A, Bee, C's & 1, 2, 3's, art & crafts, science activities, fine motor & eye-hand co-ordination activities and just plain fun! We have a fenced in yard at the Beehive so we can have lots of outdoor adventures too! Our Beehive is located on a quiet court near Durham College in North Oshawa.

This is one of the toughest decisions you will make as a parent so we recommend you visit as many home childcare providers and daycare centers you can and then you will know when you have found the right one for your honey Bee. Please call if you would like more information or to set up a time to visit our Beehive. We are following all the Covid-19 safety precautions to keep everybee safe so please be patient with us.
