Daycare description / philosophy

SHANNON'S SWEET PEAS has 2 full-time spots available in October 2014 and 1 in January 2015 for children 1 years and older. Hours of operation are 7:00AM - 5:00PM, Monday to Friday.

Shannon's Sweet Peas is your child's home away from home and I 'll make it a warm, nurturing, and exciting place to be. My goal is to provide a fun and safe learning environment for your child while encouraging emotional, physical and intellectual development. Parents can be assured that their child will receive personal and individualized care in a warm and loving home, where they can begin to build self-confidence and a positive self-image.

The play room is on our main floor which is filled with lot's of natural light, warm sunshine and soft colours. We have quick access to our backyard, living room, kitchen and washroom. We have a child friendly backyard, equipped with fun and safe playing equipment. We're located in Morris Village, a family oriented neighborhood, close to schools and parks.

I also provide well balanced nutritious meals and snacks. I incorporate lots of fun activities into their daily schedule that include arts and crafts, free-play, structured-play, music, song and dance, painting, coloring, various creative and educational projects, and much more.

I LOVE working with children and have been blessed with a beautiful daughter of my own who is turning one in the fall. This new profound love is what has inspired me to leave the corporate world behind and open my own daycare.
