Daycare description / philosophy

Home-Based Montessori School Opening September 2021 for children 18 months - 4 years. Currently under Renovations to make a bright and beautiful space for the children. The Owner/Educator Sara has been a Registered Early Childhood Educator and a Montessori educator for 14 years, teaching at various Child Care Centres, and Montessori schools in Toronto. Sara is passionate about early childhood education and is excited to lead a school of her own. Her goal is to contribute, deliver, and provide early education and child care to the community. In our Montessori Community we create a nurturing, safe and caring environment with a variety of activities that are designed to foster independence, and strengthen movement, which enhances thinking and learning. The prepared environment is filled with language rich experiences, and purposeful social interactions, building upon each child’s strengths and abilities. The physical organization and consistency of the routines allow the children to develop their sense of self, and self-confidence, gaining emotional maturity of trust and respect with themselves and the environment. The environment promotes positive and responsive relationships between the children, and teachers. There are opportunities for outdoor experiences, which enhance large motor skills and a connection with the natural world. Two snacks and a lunch are provided.
