Daycare description / philosophy
Play Learn Grow and Fly Home Childcare has been opened since October 2016. I am looking to have the right children and their family join our daycare family.
I previously was located at 155 Tower Drive (Warden & Lawrence area) and have moved to this location at the beginning of March.
My name is Lisa. I am a mother of a 4 year old boy. I have lots of energy, patience, and a very creative person. I love singing and dancing, reading books, and being silly. I offer a hands on approach with lots of love and affection when caring for children. I have a daycare background in both, daycare centres and home childcare. I was with an licensed in-home child care agency for 6 months, then have been private for the last 2 years. Along with years of babysitting experience and the oldest of 6 children. I also have some schooling in the Early Childhood Education program at Seneca Collage. I have an up to date police check and CPR level C & AED. As well as references upon request.
I currently have no children enrolled. The children I had previously all started JK this past September. I decided to take some time off to get my own child transitioned into JK at St. Albert School. I’m currently looking to enroll 2 children for full time and 1 child for before/after school program for any of the 3 schools located in walking distance.

At affordable daily rates, PLGF will provide before and after school childcare services to families with children ranging from 3 to 5 years of age (Junior and Senior Kindergarten) and full time for children ranging 1 to 3 years of age. This nurturing, positive, fun and educational home environment offers a low child to adult ratio but in the same hand offers the developmental activities that are offered in a much larger daycare centre.
At PLGF you will be part of a family orientated community that will make you feel apart of your child's day to day experiences. You will receive daily logs: including diaper changing/toileting, meals, nap times, special activities, new exciting things and parent reminders. Pictures upon request and agreement can be sent to you to allow you to cherish the moment. Weekly art will be hung up on the Children's Creativity board for everyone to admire, then sent home for you to have as a keepsake. Monthly calendars inform you on special day themes that the children will look forward too. One Saturday or Sunday a month, families will be invited for a organized group outing to a parent and child based attraction or program. An annual appreciation BBQ and Christmas party will be hosted for all families to attend. Children birthday celebrations with a special treat for all the children to enjoy. All of this and so much more.

All children should be loved and encouraged. Each child's needs and the way they learn are different from one another. I make a great effort to get to know each child's unique individuality to ensure the best outcome for them to succeed. My goal is to teach and see them fly with their own wings. My caregiving philosophy of an open door and open arms allows me to create a healthy, trusting relationship with the child and establish a respectful partnership with you. PLGF welcomes everyone; eg dietary restrictions, etc.
Requirements for enrollment:
In person interview; families and child must come in for a meet & greet and view the space to become acquainted with myself and the daycare to ensure a good fit.
All documents filled out and signed.
One week fee deposit; reimbursed as fee for your child's last week.
The home is pet friendly. Our family has 2 dogs; Thor and Felix (breads; yokie maltese and border collie - both aged 6) They are part of daycare space and interact great with the children. They have a fenced off dog run to do they business in the backyard, to ensure sanitary area for the children to play. Pet vaccination information.
