Daycare description / philosophy
Hi, my name is Melissa. I have ran my home day care for 12 years. I have 2 kids of my own. My daughter is 11 and my son is 8 and both attend Lockes P.S.Our days are full of laughter, learning, fun and LOTS of TLC. Each day we have circle time, weather board fun, days calendar, sing songs, read stories, crafts, outdoor time (weather permitting), sensory play, activities related to seasons/themes.
I send home monthly calendars about what we will be doing as well as a daily journal is sent home with information about your childs day. It is a great communication tool and you will know what your childs day was like!
Our backyard is fully fenced in with lots of activities and also parks close by. I have a full toy room with toy rotation. Lots of fun activities and toys for you child!
I provide all snacks, meals and also provide receipts.
My motto is to treat my daycare kids the way I would want mine to be treated...like family! This is their home away from home. All of my past and present daycare children become apart of our family and I still have contact with each family I have worked with in the past 12 years! I have lots of amazing references available.
We have a pet friendly house with a dog, cat and 2 hamsters. They all love the kids as they have been raised with them!!
My hours of operation are from 6:30am - 5:00pm, but may be flexible.
I am located in the North end of St Thomas on Hawthorn Court.
