Daycare description / philosophy

I am a mother of one young boy looking to care for your child(ren) in my home . You can be sure that your child(ren) are being well care for through quality, caring, and stimulating childcare as these are essential for child development.

I will be providing care to school age children as well as infants, toddlers and preschoolers. My home will be open from 7:00am until 5:30pm, Monday to Friday.

I offer 2 nutritious meals per day as well as a snack. The meals include breakfast and lunch and one afternoon snack. Breakfast is from 8am until 8:45am. If your child is not at the dayhome in time for breakfast, it is up to you to provide them with breakfast.

These meals and snacks are planned for the week on the Friday before. If your child has allergies to certain foods, it is your responsibility to bring a different food for your child if the planned meal that day is a food in which your child is allergic to. Also, if your child has different dietary needs, please let me know so that we can try to accommodate them as best as possible.

We will have a structured day of different activities which will include preschool learning activities, crafts, stories, make-believe, outdoor activities (walks, going to the park, of course all weather permitting!). Each holiday will be celebrated (for example: easter, Halloween, Christmas, etc.) as well as your child's birthday. Each month will follow a different theme, for example, December theme would be Christmas, and these themes will be explored through the above mentioned activities.

From time to time, we may go on field trips to the zoo or the library, etc. When this occurs, you will receive written notice as to when we are going, what your child will need, etc. Of course, this will all be weather permitting on some activities.

I have First aid and CPR certifications.We provide a smoke-free home.I can provide references.

My goal is to provide families with a positive and enjoyable home daycare experience. I always offer open communication and welcome and questions or suggestions that a family may have. I strive to give each child care that is specific to their needs and developmental levels but also make sure that each day is inclusive for all.
