Servinhg Dufferin Grove /Brockton/Bloordale/Dundas West & surrounding neighbourhoods-Located South of Bloor, North of College on the West side of Dufferin Grove park

A playbased outdoor focused childcare experience for 15mnths-5 year olds.
We take a community driven approach to childcare, allowing your children to explore their world within the surrounding neighbourhoods. Learning emerges from our adventures and games; we encourage child-directed play. With us, little ones learn problem solving through play and hands on activities, mastering new ideas and social skills experientially. It is our sincere belief that engaging with one another and the place we live in this way encourages children to be creative, confident and respectful of others with knowledge of the importance of diversity and a belief in social justice. We are a LGBTTIQQ2SA (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transsexual, Transgender, Intersex, Queer/Questioning, 2 Spirited, Allies) welcoming environment and as such do not have expectations of your child based on gender. The core value of this daycare is respect; for the operator, children and parent(s), and our communities. Each child is honoured for their own personality, interests, and intelligences. We are all working together to raise our children.

The 'Fruitful Pursuits' program is an amalgamation of home based childcare experiences.
Little ones are encouraged to enjoy, experiment with, and learn about their food through gardening, shopping for food, creating meals, and contributing to menus. We operate like a large family, discovering, learning, and navigating our days together. A great deal can be learned from our environment, our communities, and our neighbours. Our projects, and explorations are lead by children’s interests and curiosities as we aim to take advantage of all the community & neighborhood has to offer –whether chasing squirrels in the park, attending outdoor theatre & music, playing in the snow, excavating in the sand pit, dropping-in at a local circle time, water play, or picking out the next days snack at the farmers market.

Daycare programming runs Monday to Friday 9am-4:30pm. Extended hours for pickup or drop-off can be arranged in advance at the discretion of your primary caregiver, at a rate decided upon by the operator.Programming is for 7.5 hours; 9 hours is the maximum amount of time your child can be in the operator’s care on any scheduled day and within the stated hours of operation; drop-off & pick-up times, your caregivers availability and your child’s schedule are determined by and at the discretion of your primary caregiver.
