Their Needs First is a warm and inviting program offering full-day (8:30-2:30), and half-day(8:30-11:30) Eco-childcare services for children ages 18 months to 6 years.

Their Needs First is a place where children can foster independence while also gaining a social experience from an early age. TNF welcomes children into a prepared home environment that promotes Montessori beliefs and practices. The wellness and individual development of each child is our first priority.

The materials and furniture and in the environment are all child-sized and appropriate to the stages of development, allowing children to explore and learn in a natural flow. We strive to provide an eco-friendly child care service within our home that is safe, family-friendly and respectful to all.


Founder Natasha Wynter has over 10 years of experience as a Montessori Casa and Toddler teacher and has specialized training in Infant Toddler development. She has spent her professional career providing exceptional Montessori education to children between the ages of 14 months to 6 years. Natasha has taught at some of Toronto’s leading schools, such as Forest Hill Montessori, Downtown Montessori and Bannockburn Montessori. In addition to her teaching experience, Natasha has been an Instructor and a Field Supervisor at the Montessori Teachers College for over three years, providing training and supervision to teachers in the Infant Toddler Diploma program.

Natasha has created a Montessori Home for her daughter and is excited to extend this to other children. Their Needs First Montessori Pre School believes every child deserves the opportunity to reach their individual potential, and our intention is to create an environment where every child can thrive, now and in the future.
Natasha believes that children need a nurturing and loving environment in which they can grow and become the child they are destined to be. This also requires an adult with knowledge of each child’s individual needs. As a mother, teacher and caregiver, Natasha believes that parents should be comforted knowing that their child’s emotional and developmental needs are of the utmost importance as they transition from their home to ours.
