Daycare description / philosophy

My name is Marie Julien, my husband and I have recently moved to Waterdown, Ontario. I am an ECE teacher with over 10 years of experience working with children of all ages.

Over the years of working as a nanny, in daycares and in private schools I have found that the best philosophy is to nature each child individually. I have experience teaching Jolly Phonics which I continue to practice, even with children as young as a few months old.The children participate in creative and sensory experiences, outdoor play time (weather permitting) as well as indoor activities, our house is located close to a YMCA, local Park/splash pad and the grocery, weekly field trips to any of these place do take place. The focus at Julien Daycare is to enrich the whole child, not just ABC's and 123's but also virtues and morals. Treating each other with respect and kindness.


Your child is welcomed into our home and made to feel more at home than at "daycare". This approach allows for more flexibility and an easier transition into fulltime care.

mac'n'cheese
steamed veggies


hummus and crackers


fresh fruit is served with all snacks and lunches. All items on the menu are Gluten Free and most are homemade(some snack are store bought i.e crackers). Substitutes can be made for dietary restrictions if needed.


Parents are encouraged to ask questions in regards to their child's development. My goal is to create a place that is fun, loving and happy. I want your children to feel safe as though they are visiting their "family", this is not and should never be a scary or stressful experience for parents or children.
