Daycare description / philosophy

My day home is run with the main purpose of your children having fun, learning, and being in a safe family environment.
My program starts before school, offering nutrious breakfasts and free play activities in our playroom. Once the children are off to school we serve a big nurtitious Snack. Depending on the weather and how the children are feeling we proceed with our Craft Time, making everything from seasonal to everyday crafts to help the children with their fine motor skills. We then have our Circle Time which is a fun activity for everyone! The children can choose their own animal mat, bring it to our circle time spot and listen and interact with many wonderful rhyming and fun songs to sing! After circle we have some outside time, which can include various parks, library, and drop in centers when available in our area. We then come home for some Free Play time in our playroom. Lunch is right after, which is a wide variety of kid friendly menu items that include a few main dishes as well as many sides so everyone has lots to choose from. After lunch we have our Story Time, this is the time to read through many of our library and home books to calm us down before Nap or Quiet Time. Nap would be for the children it applies to, and Quiet Time is for the older ones who no longer nap, but would still benefit for a calm time period with a child friendly show or movie. Once Quiet Time is finished, we are off to the school to pick up our older children. We then have some more Outside Time. We come home after some outside play to a nutrious snack, and enjoy some more Free Play time in our playroom, until pick up time by Moms and Dads.
I am currently offering before and after school care, and summer care. I have 3 spots available right now. I have been running this program for about 5 years on my own, and 8 years assisting a professional home daycare. As well as the experience of having my own two children who are 8 and 5 1/2 years old.
My program is flexible so it still gives children the comfort of being at home. If there was a day that they were not feeling so well and need more time to be calm we would adjust our activities to accommodate that.
