Daycare description / philosophy

I am a mother of one with five years of early childhood experience. In our Daycare we offer a warm and welcoming environment which encourages each child to learn and grow. Through creative play, support and educational activities, our goal is to help your child be all they can be. Through our daily activities, with emphasis on skill building and developmental milestones, my goal is to help prepare your child for kindergarten.

Daily activities are customized around your child’s persona and skill set. I will be sure to involve you in the preparation and planning of your child’s daily routine. We provide you with a schedule, but we understand that each child’s needs are different. Before our first meeting, I encourage you to please make a list of activities that are important to you, and questions around daily routines.

Nutrition is a personal passion. My background in culinary arts guides my food preparation for your child. As a certified chef, I focus on healthy meal planning and the best ingredients for child development. A weekly organic food box is delivered to our daycare which we use for your little one’s meals. If you have any nutritional concerns, please bring those concerns and communicate them at our first meeting. Please note that I am CPR/First Aid certified.

A sample of a daily schedule includes:
- reading, story time
- arts/sensory crafts
- music making and dance sessions
- walks, outdoor play, children’s/tot yoga (pending on interest of child)
- free play material exploration (cardboard house making, bird nest making, water play etc.)
- quiet time/nap time

About the space:
- a dedicated playroom space for children
- a fully fenced back yard with a playground, featuring a slide and swings
- child-proofed and gated
- no pets
- non-smoking space
