Daycare description / philosophy

Happy Hearts is a private home daycare in Aylmer, QC. I am Nawal, the founder of Happy Hearts. I have decided to re-pursue childcare after opening and operating my own Subway for 6 years and Second Cup for 4 years. I have been certified with CPR certificate as well as my nursing certification. After raising 3 healthy children and opening my own businesses, I am ready and thrilled to re-open my home daycare.
With the past and current experience that I have, this will allow our children to be exposed to the music, food, culture and people of the community in which they live.

We accept children aged 12 months to four years and operate in a dedicated space in a warm, welcoming home. Located steps from a handful of parks, a few minutes from the marina, and all the fun and activities of Aylmer. Happy Hearts offers an emergent curriculum with a healthy balance of free and structured play and learning, field trips, community partnerships, and outdoor adventures.

We believe that children need to laugh, sing, dance, eat, drink, talk, play, dress up, run, paint, relax, cook and share their culture and experiences. Our activities provide them the opportunity to play indoors and outdoors, freely and with structure. We take field trips and experience all that Aylmer has to offer.

Activities include, but are not limited to:

Happy Hearts provides two snacks and one meal per day. Food is prepared on-site and an effort is made to involve children in menu planning, shopping and food preparation.

By shopping at local markets, striving to incorporate organic ingredients wherever possible and focusing on purchasing locally produced, in-season foods, Happy Hearts provides children with top-notch nutrition while teaching them environmentally conscious, healthy practices from an early age.

We will gladly accommodate standard vegetarian/vegan diets and allergies.
