Daycare description / philosophy

We are a family with a father, a mom and a very intelligent and playful 2-year-old baby. We are eager to welcome 3 little friends to share with us our many adventures toward knowledge through play. We believe that it is important to have a structure when imparting knowledge to children as skilled as yours, which is why our teaching is based on Montessori. Regarding our services, skills and experience: -We offer a variety of fresh, homemade, nutritious and delicious food (no artificial colors or flavors). Breakfast consists on fresh fruit, bread with cheese or egg or avocado and yogurt (twice a week), for lunchtime (red noodles with ground meat, lentils with rice, quinoa with cheese and potato, black beans with rice, meat burgers with salad, soup chicken with vegetables) to conclude evening snacks and plenty of water during the day. -Our teaching structure is based on the Montessori Method, so we offer 7 work areas that your child will enjoy. 1. Practical Life, children enjoy their autonomy as they participate in activities to learn to care for themselves and others in a controlled environment. 2. Sensory, this is where the child develops and refines sensitivity to the physical world around them. Here we also focus on fine motor development. 3. Mathematics, in this area we teach children the real value of numbers, what they represent in the world and how to play with them. 5. Language, we provide our young learners with extensive activities and games to expand their vocabulary. Our successful method is based on learning by playing with books, verses, songs, theater, puppets, among others. 6. Cultural, children have very absorbing and brilliant minds, so at very young ages they show curiosity about the world around them. In our daycare we take advantage of these skills and show them basic concepts of the world to which they belong (geography, history, science, music and art). 7. Gymnastic muscular education, sport is one of the most relevant aspects for children, so we have a specific area where children have the appropriate tools for complete gross psychomotor development. - In our home, we believe in the love of knowledge. We have built a appropriate environment for these baby sharks so that they can enjoy carrying out all the necessary activities in each Montessori work area. -We have a special nap area with crib beds so your little ones can rest comfortably and get the right amount of sleep. -The work environment is always kept clean and hygiene is mandatory in our home and for the children, as we carefully follow the Ottawa Public Health (OPH) Guidelines. -I have extensive experience from an early age taking care of all the little ones in my family and currently I am in charge of the care and teaching of my clever 2-year-old baby who already understands, can speak, knows numbers (1-100), geometric shapes, he traces the vowels very easily and sings in English, French and Spanish. -Multiple languages, preschool level (English, French and Spanish). -FIRST AID/CPR and Police Record. -Non-smoking & Pet free environment.
