Daycare description / philosophy

LEARNING THROUGH PLAY

At Garderie Roxboro & Garderie Emilie, a government subsidized daycares, we follow the program “Accueillir la petite enfance ”, an excellent and proven educational modern program, designed specifically for preschool age children.

PRESCHOOL PROGRAM : Using SMART BOARD

Weekly themes and age appropriate activities are planned by experienced and qualified teachers. The program is bilingual. The regular curriculum is also enriched with lots of educational and fun events.

INDOORS / OUTDOORS ACTIVITIES

We have a well equipped gym very useful for the long winter as well as for the special activities. Our private and fully fenced playground is divided in two age appropriate and equipped sections. The ground is covered with soft rubber in the younger children section and an artificial lawn for the older ones.
In addition to our regular weekly educational activities program, our kids benefit of special activities such as:

FIELD TRIPS

Pumpkin and apple picking, sugaring off and sleigh rides, visits at the Ecomuseum and Ostrich Farm are examples of field trips offered

SUMMER PROGRAM / OUTDOOR POOL

PROGRAM FOR SPECIAL NEEDS KIDS

We offer an integration program for special needs kids with the collaboration of some organizations like CLSC Pierrefonds, Mackay Center, etc.

FOOD SERVICES

Two nutritious snacks and a hot lunch cooked on site by our chef are offered daily as well as an optional full breakfast and supper. Our meals are well balanced and respond to our children’s needs, considering all food restrictions. Our tri-weekly menu is posted in the center for your information and our Web site.
