Daycare description / philosophy

http://www.garderiegriffin.com

In the heart of Griffinttown, 5 minutes from the Lachine canal and downtown Montreal, 8200 square feet on the 1st floor and 2 gardens will be ready to welcome your children from 2 July.
Our daycare is also less than 500 meters from 3 municipal parks for all to enjoy.

We can tell you about space, compliance with the regulations issued by the MFA, but we prefer to talk to you about your children.
In our nursery we decided to make our children our single priority.

Foundations:
We are based on the work of Jean Piaget, which are the basis of any renewal of the educational system of the West and North America. It is these works that have established the cognitive development of the child.
According to Piaget, every child goes through 4 cognitive development stages, each stage corresponds to specific developments of intelligence: affectif, emotional, motor, social or intellectual. This process can't be accelerated, and stages occur according to an identical sequence for all children. Not respecting the individual abilities of each child would help to weaken it, more or less long term.

Our second reference comes from the Finland. This country has rebuild its education system, and decided to return the child to the heart of the system. This approach, which takes the ideas of Piaget helped Finland to obtain the best results among the OCDE countries in language, mathematics and science tests.

Our values:
Each child is unique and follows its own path. We must respect this process. Our role will be to support and accompany them in their different stages of development, constantly encouraging their creativity and imagination.
It is also essential that we guide children leaving them the freedom to conduct their own explorations and live their own experiences by an individual process of trial and errors.
Our main objective is each child develops its confidence in him, because self-confidence is the base of development and vitality.

Pedagogy:
The game and the game and the game...Everything is an excuse to play for a child, from birth. EVERYTHING THAT LATER ON REQUIRES THE SERIOUSNESS OF EXISTENCE AND THE SERIOUSNESS INHERENT IN WORK IS IN ACTION IN CHILD'S PLAY. A CHILD'S WORK IS PLAY, PLAY IS HIS WORK. Rudolf Steiner

Learning is fun, joyful, informative, and creative... to the extent of the imagination and curiosity of our toddlers.

Our babies and their mothers:
The separation is source of anxiety and stress part and other. We do adapted smoothly to the baby, and will promote a continuity of exchanges and contacts with the mother. Physical contact is the primary need for the baby, we consider this requirement as a priority in our nursery, it is only if this need is met that the baby will be able to try to make new experiences.

For parents:
The Garderie Griffin - Jardin d'enfants, we respect the child, we are not here to push it, nor do the emotionally fragile Einstein. We want to support them, help them, guide them, love them... to make happy children, full of joie de vivre, curious, balanced and happy.
