Daycare description / philosophy

The 'Les Mignons' home childcare service

Our daycare is located in Pierrefonds center, near the library, the town hall and the CSST. We are open Monday to Friday from 7am to 5pm. The group has 9 children from 0 to 5 years old. The rate is $ 8.25 per day.

We offer a safe environment (non-smoker and no pets), stimulating, organized and well adopted to a multi-age group.

My assistant and I have graduated and are competent, we have been working with children since 1997, in a family environment since 2004. We have all the mandatory training, as well as the annual updates imposed by the Ministry. By working with parents, we encourage children on their journey to independence, curiosity, logical thinking, self-help and self-esteem. We respect the stages and the development rhythms of each of them.

Our activities focus on language improvement, psychomotor development, cognitive, emotional and social development. The activities vary according to the themes proposed, the seasons and the interests of the children. The program includes crafts, painting workshops, play dough, musical and interactive games, and gardening and culinary activities (much appreciated!). Transition times are often accompanied by children's songs, classical music or audio stories.

We go out as often as possible in nearby park (4-5), in the garden or take a walk in the neighborhood.

Healthy and varied meals (two snacks and one hot meal) are served three times a day in accordance with the food guide. All our dishes are homemade and often the same day.

Our family daycare often becomes a second home for your children because they find love, attention, individual care and attentive, but especially the daily stability, so necessary for a young child!
