My child attends this centre & I am searching for a new place. I feel that the staff is well meaning, but the working conditions make it difficult to do a good job. The care providers are often different from day to day. They are only paid for core hours, so they are expected to clean even if it interferes with caring for the children or to clean & not get paid for it at the end of the day. I have seen 14 children crowded into a corner blocked in by a table with a single worker in order for the other worker to wash the floors. Every Morning the cook is sitting in the corner of the room watching children, not engaging with them at all. They seem to have great difficulty supervising the children and with legal ratios, example if they are changing a child’s diaper, due to staffing issues; the other children are left unsupervised. The food that is provided is really offal, mostly processed food like hot dogs and caned soups. I am very disappointed in the Management of the centre.
