When I started bringing my daughter to the day home, Celia made the transition as easy as possible, both for my child and I! She offered support and helpful advice as to what she think works best for a child of age to transition. Even though it was a hard time, my “gut†told me that she was going to be fine, and that she was in a loving, nurturing environment. Quickly we became “part of the familyâ€, and I felt thankful that she was in such great care. Each morning I dropped off to the day home she would be waiting with open arms for her morning hug.She loved attending Celia’s day home. She was happy and well-rested when I picked her up, ate the home-made nutritious food, played with age-appropriate toys, and was stimulated by interaction with other kids of various ages. She loved playing outside in the big backyard all summer long – her favorite was playing soccer and having picnics outside! Each day Celia would give me a report on her day, and was not afraid to tell me when she had an “off dayâ€.
