We have 2 year old twins attending Franklin's. This is our second experience with a childcare centre in Calgary. Where this centre shines: - non-profit (all fees goes toward the children and staff development) - parent-directed (parents run a board that supports the director) - educated staff (they teach our children to be gentle, kind, effective human beings. Also, because I'm one of those parents that lurk.. I notice the staff are heavy on professional development. They're always attending workshops about various topics on early childhood education.) - affordable (for the quality of care, we were blown away by how much more affordable Franklin's is relative to similar centres e.g. kids u, kids and co, etc.) - special activities (live music, yoga, special themed days, creative arts+crafts) - CONSISTENT STAFF (the staff are happy, caring, and joke with each other all the time. We feel young children require stability in their everyday life to thrive. Relationship with caretakers was number 1 on our list)
