The daycare is in the basement of a church but, it's still very bright and roomy. The children have access to a full gym, which is amazing. The daycare is always very clean but the gym floor is not. Most of the staff used to be teachers in their home country. However, I feel that the staff have not keep up-to-date on current philospohies such as RIE and Reggio. The food at most daycares is lacking and Anne's is no different. The menu often consists of soup, pasta with no sauce, sausages, chicken nuggets, fish sticks, etc. They say mostly organic when you sign up but what they serve doesn't seem to be anywere close. Snacks are cereal every morning and white bread and jam (or equivalent) in the afternoon. Parents are required to bring a piece of fruit daily. Despite these points, Anne's seems the best daycare around. As parents, we really need to demand better care for our children.
