This daycare is very willing to give up on children. They do not like to accept responsibility for anything and would rather pass blame on to parents and gov't for lack of support. It is too bad that a daycare can fail a 4 year old. The behaviours that got him in trouble were all picked up at the daycare and not dealt with in a proper manner. As a parent you can only deal with issues that occur in the home, you can't punish a child for something that has happenned 4-5 hours prior (you can speak to the child but punishing a 4 year old for someting you did not immediately see is pointless) . As well they believe a timeout should involve the child having a toy to play with. To me a timeout is a punishment should be to sit without anything...afterall you are being punished. One other problem I had is with the tactile box. At different times the bos was filled with sugar and the children were loading the sugar into their mouths...........how do you think the behaviour would be after loading them up??
