I am adding to the comment from a parent who witnessed the little boy who was left alone at the Splash Pad at Lamoureux Park on August 6, 2010. I was there that day with my son as well. The daycare in question was 'Garderie Les P'Tits Coeurs' located near the school Riviere Castor on Maheu. As we returned to the daycare, the administrator received a call that a kid wearing the daycare's contact information had been left behind. What appears to have transpired that day is that the particular boy arrived at the last minute and got on the bus but the individual checking the names on the list was not made aware of this last minute arrival. Therefore, when it was time to leave Lamoureux Park, the list was checked and everyone was accounted for. If was an unfortunate incident to say the least but this has marked me as a parent who is now hesitant to leave my child go on an organized school trip.
