I was recommended to smack/spank my child by a senior member at this daycare. Dietary concerns were routinely ignored. Staff members are woefully unprofessional when it comes to the care and safety of the children; children were allowed to brawl in the playground while staff remain seated and oblivious. An accident on-site that resulted in my child's hospitalisation from a head wound caused by their furniture was blamed on my child's fault when I asked that the furniture be removed. This is just a few of the instances. Food served comes from the neighbouring foodbank and is often out of date. When the menu calls for items NOT in the food bank? Then food vouchers (donated to the food bank) are used to buy the centre's groceries. My child is no longer at this site, and thank goodness

I am writing a rebuttal from this centre about this negative review. This review was written by a staff member who was recently released due to ongoing issues surrounding job attandence, performance, health and safety, and their lack of programming for the children. In this review it states that the child was hospitalized, but in fact the child was taken to the hospital for 3 stitches due to her running, loosing her balance and falling into a toddler sized table in the class. \"This parent/staff never asked that the table be removed\". All of the food that is used by the centre is purchased weekly at Wholesale in Kitchener by our cook. The menu used at the centre is reviewed and approved by the WDG Health Unit meeting all of the nutritional needs as required by the Day Nurseried Act and the Canada\'s Food Guide prior to use. Our centre just had it\'s yearly licensing by our program advisors at MCYS in August 2010. The licensing went very well and the program advisors that were out had nothing but positive and great things to say about the centre, staff, and administration. DO NOT always beleive everything that is written especially when it is done in anger and malace. If you have any question please contact the centre.
